Narni - The town of Narni

Narni has a population of 20.070 inhabitants (Narnesi) and a surface of 197,84 square kilometers thus showing a population density of 101,4 inhabitants per square kilometer. It rises 240 metres above the sea level.

Population: The municipality of Narni had a popolation of 20.439 inhabitants accordingly to the results of the national census made in 1991. After the national census made in 2001 the population was 20.070 inhabitants, thus showing during the years 1991 - 2001 a percentual variation of -1.80% inhabitants.

The inhabitants are distributed in 7.690 families with an average of 2.61 people per family.

The place: The territory of the municipality lies between 42 and 910 metres above sea level.

The altimetric spawn is thus of 868 metres.

Work and workers:There are 378 industrial firms employing 2780 people that are the 50.45% of the total of the workers. There are 419 service firms employing 816 people that are the 14.81% of the total of the workers. There are also 357 firms employing 1212 people that are the 22.00% of the total of the workers. There are also 93 administrative offices emplying 702 workers that are the 12.74% of the total of the workers.

There is a total of 5.510 workers, that are the 27.45% of the inhabitants of the municipality.
