Avigliano Umbro has a population of 2.378 inhabitants (Aviglianesi) and a surface of 51,32 square kilometers thus showing a population density of 46,3 inhabitants per square kilometer. It rises 441 metres above the sea level.

Population: The municipality of Avigliano Umbro had a popolation of 2.315 inhabitants accordingly to the results of the national census made in 1991. After the national census made in 2001 the population was 2.378 inhabitants, thus showing during the years 1991 - 2001 a percentual variation of 2.70% inhabitants.

The inhabitants are distributed in 943 families with an average of 2.52 people per family.

The place: The territory of the municipality lies between 217 and 915 metres above sea level.

The altimetric spawn is thus of 698 metres.

Work and workers:There are 76 industrial firms employing 234 people that are the 37.56% of the total of the workers. There are 65 service firms employing 116 people that are the 18.62% of the total of the workers. There are also 57 firms employing 180 people that are the 28.89% of the total of the workers. There are also 23 administrative offices emplying 93 workers that are the 14.93% of the total of the workers.

There is a total of 623 workers, that are the 26.20% of the inhabitants of the municipality.
